Ismael Vega, 83, of Hartford, passed away on January 22, 2024, at Saint Mary Home in West Hartford. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Emiliano and Maria (Veguilla) Vega.
Ismael worked at Frank’s Restaurant in Hartford and for Royal Typewriter for many years. He was an avid New York Yankee fan. Ismael had a great sense of humor and could brighten any room he entered.
Ismael is survived by a brother Pablo Vega Vequilla of Puerto Rico, a sister Maria Ramos of Deltona Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers Mario, Ivan, and Paulino V. Vega and a sister Carmen I. Vega.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29th at 11:00 am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. A burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
