Harvey Edwin Miller, III, 78, of Rocky Hill, passed away on March 31, 2026, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Frankfurt, Germany where his dad was stationed at the time, he was the son of the late Harvey and Edith (Bettinger) Miller, II.
Harvey returned to the United States at a young age and grew up on Long Island, NY. Harvey also served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Once discharged he stayed in Germany for eighteen years while raising his daughter before moving back to Hartford, CT in 1987.
Harvey was always crazy about cars and planned his life around working on them. He worked on altering cars that were going to different countries. His number one passion was racing stock cars and loved listening to Johnny Cash with Ring of Fire being his favorite song.
Harvey is survived by his daughter, Martina Miller-Pfitzner and her husband Ralf Pfitzner; his granddaughter Victoria Jill Pfitzner and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20th at 10:00 am at the Sgt John F. Levitow Health Care Center Chapel, 287 West Street, Rocky Hill. A burial will follow in Colonel Raymond F. Gates Memorial Cemetery in Rocky Hill where full military honors will be accorded. Family and friends may call before the service from 9:30 to 10:00 am in the Chapel.
