Geraldine Williams

Geraldine Williams, 76 passed away peacefully on October 1, 2023, at the Marlborough Rehabilitation Center in Marlborough CT.  Geraldine was born August 14, 1946, in Wilmington, NC.  She was affectionately known as “Geri” to her family and friends.  She lived most of her life in the town of Portland which she loved.  She attended school in Portland CT and graduated from Portland High School. Geraldine later worked as a caregiver providing passionate care to all she encountered.

Geraldine was predeceased by her father Johnny Williams of Portland CT, her mother Emma Williams of Portland CT, sister Josephine Lawson of Meriden CT, and brother Roy Faison of Brooklyn NY.   She was also predeceased by a special cousin Josephine Smith of Portland CT and lifelong childhood friend, Evangeline Burch of Meriden CT.

Geraldine loved to crochet, knit, and go to tag sales. She has created some of the most beautiful items which will continue to be enjoyed by those with whom she has shared her talent with.  She also had a love for collecting ink pens.  If you had an ink pen she liked, it would leave with her to become a part of the ink pen tribe she treasured.  She also loved spending time at the Portland Senior Center with countless friends she has made over the years. 

She leaves to mourn her passing and to celebrate the life she lived her beloved son Bryan Williams of Portland CT.  She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins in Connecticut and in North Carolina.
