George T. Downer, Jr.
1962 - 2023
George T. Downer, Jr. of Cromwell passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the age of 60. He was born in New Britain, CT, the son of Ruth Ann Riggott Downer of Middletown and George T. Downer, Sr. (nee Tourtelotte), deceased.
Along with his mother, he is survived by a brother Bruce E. Downer of Middletown, nephews Brandon A. Downer of Middletown and Tyler C. Downer of Orlando, FL, life partner Carol A. Pent, stepdaughter Jessica A. Pent, grandchildren Alexander, Alina, and Leanna, nephews Blake and Matthew all of Cromwell.
George enjoyed his beloved cats, vegetable garden, Harley motorcycle, going fishing and many collectables. George’s hobbies included repairing anything broken and carpentry.
Calling hours for friends and family will be on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell, CT, 06416, from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
