Gayle (Nielsen) Peterson

Gayle (Nielsen) Peterson, 83, of Middletown, wife of the late Robert A. Peterson, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Midstate Medical Center.  Born on October 17, 1937 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy (Hitchcock) Nielsen. Gayle lived in Middletown for the past fifty-nine years and was a member of Third Congregational Church.

Gayle is survived by three sons, Alan Peterson and his wife, Cheryl of Clinton, Brian Peterson and his wife Michele of Middletown and David Peterson and his wife Laura of Middletown; her daughter, Caren Manhardt and her husband Joe of Seattle WA; a sister, Linda Kindig of Wayne, ME; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Erika), Crista (Rob), Nicole, Erin, Timothy, Erica and Devin and four great grandchildren Nash, Lennon, Olivia and Lucy Vu.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11th at 12:00 pm at Third Congregational Church in Middletown.  Interment will follow in Miner Cemetery.
