Gail Marie (Willey) Richey

Gail Marie (Willey) Richey, 63, of Cromwell, beloved wife of Donald D. Richey for thirty one years, passed away on October 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.  Born in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of Roland Willey of Bristol and the late Caroline (Roberto) Wiley.

Gail graduated Bristol Eastern High School, Bay Path University in Longmeadow, MA and Central Connecticut State University. She had lived in Cromwell since 1991 and was a member of St. Gabriels Episcopal Church in East Berlin.  She was employed at Otis Elevator for a few years and at Pratt Whitney Aircraft Manufacturing for twenty four years.  She was a member of the Middletown Elks and an avid runner competing in road races and triathlons.  Above all, Gail loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her husband and father, Gail is survived by three daughters, Leila Nuland and her husband William of Falls Church, VA, Lorelei Richey of Kennebunk, ME and Kelsey Myrick and her husband Eric of Canton, CT; two brothers, Michael Willey of Suffield and Timothy Willey of Burlington; a sister, Linda Willey of Bristol and five grandchildren, Arianna Dhanraj, Elise Myrick, Sonia Nuland, Naomi Nuland and Samuel Nuland.

Beside her mother, Gail was predeceased by two sisters, Sharon Butat and Katherine Fedor.

Family and friends may call on Monday, November 7th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at 10:00 am at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church, 68 Main Street, East Berlin.
