Ervin Bristol Lawrence

Ervin Bristol Lawrence, 72, of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in Oak City, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Cleve and Sophia (Spruill) Lawrence.

Ervin lived most of his life in Middletown and was a member of Cross Street AME Zion Church where he served as a parking attendant.  He was employed at EIS Manufacturing for many years and was a volunteer at Amazing Grace Food Pantry.   Ervin loved fishing, eating food and especially being around family and friends.

Ervin is survived by a son Kareem Belin of East Hartford; a daughter Beverly Lawrence of Middletown; four brothers, Cleve Lawrence, Jr. of Middletown, Wallace Lawrence of Middletown, Ronnie Lawrence of Bethel, NC and James Lawrence of Bridgeport; two sisters, Idonina Lawrence of Robersonville, NC and Betty Jean Lawrence of Robersonville, NC; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19th at 11:00 am at Cross Street AME Zion Street Church, 440 West Street, Middletown.  Family and friends may call before the service from 10:00 to 11:00am at the church.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
