Ernest A. Clark

Ernest A. Clark, 85, of Durham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Autumn Lake Health Care of Cromwell after ten years with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.  Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Clifford and Marion (Banta) Clark.

Ernie lived in Durham and graduated Class of 1959.  He was a history buff knowledgeable in civics, politics, and sports, holding his own in many discussions through the years.  Ernie was a member of the United Churches of Durham and enjoyed serving as head usher and traveling with members on trips to Europe and Egypt.  He worked for Durham Manufacturing Company for forty years.  Ernie was seen taking long walks up until recently.

Along with his parents, Ernie was predeceased by his older siblings, Hazel, Raymond and Charlton Clark and sisters Cynthia Bardon and Doris Bunnell.

Ernie is survived by his brother Elmer Clark (Gwen), sister Daisy Hall (Britt) and several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 10:00 am at The United Churches of Durham.  A burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Middletown.
