Emanuel "Nell" Randazzo

Emanuel “Nell” Randazzo, 87, of Cromwell, husband of Michele (Carroll) Randazzo, passed away at home on September 29, 2024.  Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Gerald and Josephine (Corciullo) Randazzo.

Nell lived most of his life in Cromwell where he was a member of Saint John Church.  He graduated Middletown High School Class of 1954 and attended Central Connecticut State University.  Nell was a veteran serving in the United States Navy. He worked as a salesman for Remington Rand & Donnegan Systems for many years.  He was a coach and manager of Cromwell Little League and Midget Football, was a member of the Middletown Elks and was an avid golfer.  Nell enjoyed spending winters in Florida.

Along with his wife, Nell is survived by two sons, Stephen M. Randazzo and his wife Laura Lovejoy of Branford and Matthew C. Randazzo and his wife Tracie of Cromwell; a daughter Amy L. Ricard and her husband Robert of Cromwell; a sister Rosemary DiMauro and her husband Louis; eight grandchildren, David Ricard (Shannon), Nicholas Ricard (Jacqueline) and Kathryn Ricard, Hannah, William, and Jack Randazzo and Emma and Zachary Randazzo; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Nell was predeceased by his grandson Jacob Matthew Ricard.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8th at 9:00 am from the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Nell’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
