Edward Selig Schwartz

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Edward Selig Schwartz, who departed this life peacefully at home on March 11, 2025, at the age of 80. His battle with medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.  He was so excited to host his 80th birthday in January with friends and family and everyone could tell how much that day meant to him.  He was a man of integrity and kindness and left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
     

He is survived by his devoted wife Diane, daughter Julie (Jarod), sons Steve (Myah) and Mike (Carly), and will forever be “Pops” to his 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth & Nicholas, Zander & Della, and Sammy & Libby.  He was pre-deceased by his sister Edie and brother Marty.
     

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 13th, at 2:00pm in Adath Israel Cemetery, 714 Pine Street, Middletown, Connecticut.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 3000 Whitney Avenue, #121, Hamden, CT 06518.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
