Edward William Burr

Edward William Burr, 92, of Middletown, husband of Patricia (Ahlberg) Burr, passed away on December 14, 2025, at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Raymond and Martha (Skinner) Burr.

Ed served in the United States Navy 1951-1955.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 184 where he was past president.  His love was travelling to every state except Hawaii in his motorhome.

Along with his wife, Ed is survived by two daughters, Judy Cruz and her husband Willie of Higganum and Susan Kimball and her husband Richard of Colchester; his son Robert Bengtson and his wife Carol “CJ” of Monroe, WA, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Ed was predeceased by three siblings Leonard Burr, Albert Burr and Shirley Massicott.
