Dorothy May (Coe) Sanstrom

Dorothy Coe Sanstrom passed away in Plano, Texas on March 26, 2023, at 86 years old. She was born in Middletown, Connecticut on October 27, 1936. Dorothy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1954 and Bay Path Junior College in 1956. She married William Sanstrom in 1957 and they raised their family in Portland, Connecticut. In the 1970s, she worked as executive assistant in the Music Department at Wesleyan College in Middletown.

Upon retirement, Dorothy relocated to Tucson, Arizona where she lived until 2006, when she moved to Plano to be closer to her children and grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Dorothy was a member of the Custer Road United Methodist Church where she enjoyed volunteering.

Dorothy was preceded in death by parents Mae and Elmer Coe; her two brothers Norman and Elmer Coe, Jr; and ex-husband William Sanstrom. Dorothy is survived by daughter Ellen Colleluori and her husband Donald; son William Sanstrom and his wife Pam; and five grandchildren Laura, Matthew, Katherine, Kurt, and Kara.

A celebration of her life was held March 31, 2023, in Plano, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 8th at 11:00 am in New Farm Hill Cemetery, Ridge Road, Middletown, CT. To share memories or send condolences, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
