Doris Jean (Foran) Vose

Doris Jean Foran Vose (Dot), 95 of Middletown, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2020 at Middlesex Health Care Center.  Born in Saco, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Bertha (Kolk) Foran. 

Dot graduated University of Maine, Class of 1947 with a Bachelor’s Degree and from the University of Wisconsin with a Master’s Degree in Economics.  She worked as a Statistician for the State of Maine and as a Price Economist and Project Manager for the Revision of the Consumer Price Index. 

Dot moved from Saco to Middletown in 1958.  She worked briefly at Middlesex Community College and volunteered for a number of community organizations.  She was an active member of the Monday Club, Bridge Club and Wesleyan Garden Club. 

Dot is survived by her daughter, Celia Vose-Watson and son in law Tom Watson of Middletown and grandchildren, Meghan Watson, her husband Dean Jaworksi, Colin Watson and his wife Jessica, John Clement Watson, Christopher Vose, Brittany Vose and Jon Vose. Also many loved nephews and nieces.

Along with her parents, Dot was predeceased by her son John Vose and her brother Hubert.
