Dian Carol (Root) Veit

It is with great sadness that Dian C. Veit (Root) passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 77.  Dian was the daughter of Florence and Ralph Root, Middlefield, CT. She is survived by her sister, Sally McMahon (Gary) and (predeceased) by her brother Bruce Root.

Dian had 2 daughters, Alicia Kleszcz (Ken) of Wethersfield and Erika Ancil (Justin) of Indiana. She also leaves her 5 beloved grandchildren; Gabe and Kaylyn Kleszcz and Jacob Parks, April and Kimberly Kleszcz; 2 cousins, Cheryl Goff and Dawn Messer and several nieces and nephews.

We will remember Dian by her love of the ocean, singing, being with her family, happy hours, and living life to its fullest. You always knew when she was around!

Dian worked at Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford for 30 years and made many friends there.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 11:00 am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
