Derrick Easton McDonald, 80, of Middletown, husband of Glasmin (Randal) McDonald, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024, at Autumn Lake of Cromwell. Born in Westmoreland, Jamaica, he was the son of the late Amos and Eursella (Ledgister) McDonald.
Derrick loved to travel and loved scenic rides. He also loved to enjoy good foods such as beef being his favorite. Derrick has never missed teatime. He also enjoyed listening to music such as his favorite artist Bob Marley and always danced to him. He was known as a perfectionist and very helpful to anyone in need. Above all, Derrick loved his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all.
Along with his wife, Derrick is survived by two sons, Marque McDonald of New Britain, and Easton McDonald of Virginia; a daughter Melissa McDonald of Middletown; a stepdaughter Farrah Lawrence of Massachusetts; a brother Wilton McDonald of New York; a sister Mobil Richardson of Jamaica; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Sadie Salmon.
