David Lee Noland, affectionately known to many as “Dee-Dee” was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on August 6, 1952, to the late Margaret Estelle Noland and Roosevelt Rollins, Sr., and Stepdad Clyde Shelton. In 1974 David Lee, along with his mother and siblings, moved to Middletown, CT where he resided until he was called home to rest on April 6, 2023. David Lee lived a full and blessed life, always smiling and cracking jokes, he was truly a blessing to be around. David served as a faithful Deacon at New Jerusalem Christian Center Church for many years; officially designated as the church’s chef. He will be greatly missed. David Lee was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Estelle Noland, Father Roosevelt Rollins, Sr., Stepdad Clyde Shelton, sister Valerie Rollins-Cote. David Lee leaves behind to cherish his memories, his children, Lakesha Rogala of Osage City, KS, Lorenzo Rogala-Noland, Sheena Noland, Sasha Macia, Patrick Noland, and Connie Perry, all of Middletown, CT, Elizabeth Stenson of Waterbury, CT, Nathen Stenson of New Hampshire, sisters Laura Noland of New Britain, CT, Faith Noland of Hartford, CT, Glenda Rollins, Beverly Noland of Tuscaloosa, AL, brothers Willie Rollins, Selvyn Rollins of Hartford, CT, Roosevelt Rollins of Middletown, CT, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Going Home Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 9:30 am at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 346 Butternut Street, Middletown with Bishop William McKissick, Jr officiating. A burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
