David Howard Kelsey

David Howard Kelsey, 90, of East Hampton, husband of the late Marianne (Fitzpatrick) Kelsey, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Hartford Hospital.  Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Howard and Greta (McDaniels) Kelsey.

David retired as Senior Vice President and treasurer of Farmers and Mechanics Bank, was a member of East Hampton Board of Finance and director of WPCA of East Hampton. David was past president of Middletown Rotary Club where he received the Paul Harris Fellow Award, a member of Middletown Exchange Club, a member of Men’s Club at Banner Lodge and member of Congregational Church of East Hampton.

He is survived by three sons, David H. Kelsey, Jr., and his wife Sandy of Al Dhannah, United Arab Emirates, Daniel S. Kelsey and his wife Susan of South Berwick, ME, and Dean P. Kelsey and his wife Michele of Monroe, NC; one daughter, Kimberly K. Clouser of East Hampton; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Besides his parents and wife, David was predeceased by two brothers, Richard H. Kelsey and John R. Kelsey; one sister, Hazel W. Blackburn and his son-in-law Timothy Clouser.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Family and friends may call at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown on Tuesday, June 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
