Craig D. Haynes, Sr. was born January the 5, 1960 in Eufaula, Alabama to parents Marvelene Haynes & Jessie Ricks. At the age of 7 Craig moved to Middletown, CT where he became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. As a youth he joined the choir, attended & graduated from Middletown High School. Later joining the US Army. Because of Craig's broad smile & knowledge of words, he gained the love of many families. Mother Elsie Davis, the Graigs & the Turners.
Along with his parents, Craig is survived by his two children. Evelyn & Emmanuel Miller. He is also survived by his three siblings, Michelle & Kent Pope of Middletown, CT & Gary Jackson of Fort Benning, GA. His special Uncle Charlie (Sonny) Hill. His beloved uncles & aunts, Ezzard (Charles) Haynes (Mary Haynes), James (Bobby) Haynes, Curtis Haynes (Anna Haynes), Violet Haynes,Dorothy(Sally) Haynes, and many caring & praying relatives. Craig was proceeded by his late son Craig (C.J.) Haynes Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 11:00 am at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 346 Butternut Street, Middletown.
