Corine (Pope) Robinson, 93, of Middletown, went to be with her Lord on March 11, 2024, at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in James City County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Janie Pope Brooks.

Corine lived in Middletown most of her life and was a very active member of New Jerusalem Christian Church.  She worked at Wesleyan University in the Physical Plant for twenty-eight years.  Corine loved to cook and was proud to be the Matriarch of five generations.  She had a kind heart, was generous, loved her Lord, loved her family, and gave legendary hugs.  Everyone loved Corine and she will be deeply missed.

Corine is survived by her daughter June Wright of Middletown; three grandchildren, David L. Wright (Dedra), Carolyn T. Chalmers (Greg) and Denise R. Learmand (Dwight) and a host of great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 11:00 am at Open Door Missionary Baptist Church, 76 High Street, Middletown.  A burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a viewing hour Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
