Conrad Winalski, Jr. Obituary

Conrad Joseph Winalski, Jr., 87, of Berlin, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, to be with his lord and savior and his youngest daughter, Melissa.

Conrad was born on August 16, 1937, to the late Conrad and Leona (Olad) Winalski in Hartford, CT. He was inducted into the Wethersfield Athletic Hall of Fame for a 1954 State Championship soccer team. He served in the United States Army from 1956-1958. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 2000. Connie was an avid fisherman and had a love for the Wethersfield Cove.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Eleanor (McMurray) Winalski, his daughters, Karen (Peter) Stebbins, Cheryl (James) Zocco, Susan (Roberto) Cirinna, his son Conrad (Alicia) Winalski III, son-in-law Erik Sundquist, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Conrad was predeceased by his siblings Judith Hoverkamp, Beverly Magelaner, and Thomas Winalski, his daughter Melissa Sundquist, grandson Sebastian Campos, and his niece Ellen Hoverkamp.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 10th at Victory Church, 191 Meriden Rd, Middlefield, CT. Calling hours will be at the church beginning at 10:30AM. Service will follow at 11:30AM. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery 317 Bow Lane, Middletown where full military honors will be accorded.
