Clara Christine (Ponce) Passman

Clara “Clare” Christine (Ponce) Passman, age 96 of Cromwell CT passed away on November 23, 2023.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 49 years, Flavius Lee Passman.  Clare was born on March 16, 1927, in Elmhurst, NY to parents John J. Ponce and Clara C (Schwiers) Ponce.  She was devoted to her family and is survived by her four children, Christine Lent, Lee and William Camuso, John Passman and Laura and Brian Murphy.  She was blessed with twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  

Clare grew up in Millwood, NY, attended the College of Our Lady of Good Counsel in White Plains, NY and worked in Manhattan for Continental Baking before getting married.  With her husband she raised her family first in Yorktown Heights, NY then Bogota, Colombia and Westport, CT.  Her life's journey took her many places - Caracas, Venezuela, Crossville, TN and finally Cromwell. CT.
