Chau Minh Nguyen

Chau Minh Nguyen, 77, of Higganum, Connecticut, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, after living bravely with dementia. Chau was born in Mỹ Tho, a small town in Southern Vietnam along the Mekong River. He was a veteran of the South Vietnamese Army and immigrated to the United States in 1991 with his family as refugees of the Vietnam War. With the help of kind friends, family, and neighbors, Chau established deep roots in Higganum and was an active member of the Vietnamese community in the region.  

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his four children, Quan, Duy, Leo and Uyen, and his nine grandchildren.  

He will be forever loved and forever remembered. We will miss his gentle smile and kind hearted laughter. We deeply appreciate your love and support during this difficult time. 

Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Sunday, September 12th from 4:00 – 7:00pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.
