Charles Frederick Steinhilper, 90, of Higganum, husband of the late Helen (Krajewski) Steinhilper, passed away on June 16, 2026, at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Francis and Evelyn (Brownlow) Steinhilper.

Charles loved watching the Red Sox baseball, going to breakfast with his wife, getting coffee and sitting by the river.  Charles was a member of the ELKS for over forty-five years.

Charles is survived by two sons, Charles F. Steinhilper, Jr. of Stamford and Robert A. Steinhilper and his wife Elizabeth Carbone of Old Saybrook; three grandchildren Taylor Weiffenbach (Michael), Benjamin Steinhilper, and Carter Steinhilper (Jillian).

Along with his parents and wife, Charles was predeceased by his grandson Hayden Steinhilper.
