Carole Marie (Ferrari) Lawson, 85, of Cromwell, beloved wife of John W. Lawson, Jr. for sixty-three years, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Julius J. and Laura (Michaud) Ferrari, Sr.
Carole lived in Cromwell most of her life. She graduated Bryant College and was a high school English teacher. She also worked at Trinity College for thirty years. Carole was a member of Saint John Church where she was a Eucharist Minister, taught Religious Education and was part of the RCIA Program and the St. John’s Women’s Guild. She was also a member of Holy Apostles Women’s Guild. Carole enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and loved them deeply.
Along with her husband, Carole is survived by two daughters, Laura P. Lawton and her husband Peter of Cromwell and Regina A. Villard and her husband Derrick of Cromwell and four grandchildren, Danielle Lawton, Andrew Lawton and his wife Nicole, Derrick Villard, Jr. and Mya Villard.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Julius J. Ferrari, Jr. and Edward Ferrari.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at 9:00 am from the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saint John Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.
Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home.
