Carmela Marie (Annino) Tommasi

Carmela Marie (Annino) Tommasi, of Cromwell, wife of the late Michael G. Tommasi, passed away on February 1, 2026.  She was 107 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Santi and Rosina (Marchese) Annino.

Carmela was born and raised in Middletown.  She graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1936.  She and Michael married in 1939 and lived in Cromwell with their three children. She was a member of Saint John Church. 

Carmela leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Nicholas Carroll and son Michael Tommasi, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  In addition, she is survived by her two sisters, Joan Hubeny and Doreen Bartolotta, sister-in-law June Annino and several wonderful nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, Carmela was predeceased by her daughter Ann Louise Langley, grandson William Tommasi, brothers Alfio and Sebastian and sisters Victoria Pitruzzello and Anna Annino.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Carmela’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
