Loving mother and devout Christian, Barbara (Moulin) Wagner passed away at Davis Place Nursing Home in Danielson, CT on 28 December 2020 from COVID-19 complications at age 82. Her first job was at her mother’s restaurant “Bab’s Drive-in” in 1956, but that was short lived when she married Douglas E. Wagner in 1958. After becoming the mother of five, she went back to work. She worked three years at Cromwell Crest and over 30 years at Middlesex Health Care Center in Middletown, CT as a CNA where she retired in 2009. She leaves behind two sisters, Ruth A. Hogaman of AZ and Denise Sanborn of New Bern, NC; five children, Alvin Wagner of Moosup, CT, Bernice Williams of Pensacola, FL, Patricia Bradshaw of Corpus Christi, TX, Barbara Denmark of Storrs Mansfield, CT and Douglas Wagner, Jr. of Middletown, CT. Barbara also leaves behind seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas E. Wagner; father, Alphonse J. Moulin (1987); and mother, Ruth M. Moulin (2014).
Services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Cromwell Funeral Home on 506 Main St, Cromwell, CT. Visiting hours are from 9:00 to 10:00 am, immediately followed by services at 10:00 am, Pastor Richard Clegg presiding. Procession and interment will follow the service at the Cromwell Hillside Cemetery West. Family, friends, and all who knew Barbara are invited to pay their respects.
