Arthur Roscoe Obituary

Arthur Francis Roscoe, of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2020 at Sgt. John L. Levitow Healthcare Center at the State Veterans in Rocky Hill. Born on May 28, 1952 to the late George and Justine (Goodwin) Roscoe. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.

Arthur was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Waterbury, CT at a young age, and continued to be very faithful in reading his Bible. He was educated in the Waterbury School system, attending Bishop School, Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, and then went on to graduate from Crosby High School.

He enjoyed cooking out with his family and friends; his favorite time in particular was during family gathering and holiday meals, which his participated in cooking food, listening to music, and playing card games. His favorite dish to cook was lima beans with smoked neck bones.

He enjoyed truck driving and was also a city of Waterbury employee until his retirement. He is survived by his son: Melcus Roscoe of  MI, his daughter: Samantha Roscoe of CT; five brothers: George Roscoe of NC, Roger (Sonya) Roscoe of CT, Reverend Kevin (Linda) Roscoe of FL, Richard (Delores) Roscoe of CT, Joel (Tasha) Roscoe of CT; three sisters: Arlise Roscoe of CT, Caffey Roscoe-Gause of CT, and Gladys (Nathaniel) Roscoe-Morris-Cornell of NC; and two grandchildren Abigail Roscoe and Andreas Sands, along a multitude of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Arthur was predeceased by a sister Cynthia Roscoe and a brother Donald Roscoe.
