Anthony Joseph Caruso, 91, of Cromwell, husband of the late Catherine (Dalton) Caruso, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Peter and Concetta (Carta) Caruso.
Anthony had lived in Cromwell for over fifty years. He was employed at Hartford Ball Bearing Company in Rocky Hill for many years. He was a mild mannered yet outspoken, extremely wise and motivated man. He made friends everywhere he went. Anthony’s family and friends meant everything to him.
He is survived by a daughter Deborah A. Genovese of Middletown, a brother Robert Caruso and a sister Nancy Rudolph, both of Florida, three grandchildren Annemarie Genovese, Nicholas Genovese and his wife, Cari and Jon-Michael Genovese and his wife, Robin, two great grandchildren Breanna Rivera and Zachary Rivera and one more on the way in October. and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife and parents, Anthony was predeceased by his daughter Catherine M. Caruso.
At Anthony’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony’s memory may be made to St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 2609 East 19th St., Brooklyn, NY 11235 or Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
