Annie Mae (Lucky) Mills, 86, of Middletown, passed away on November 4, 2023. Born in Darlington, South Carolina on February 10, 1937, Annie was the fourth oldest of ten children. She was of the Protestant Faith and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
Annie is predeceased by her parents, Willie and Carrie Lucky, her loving husband of many years Adelaido Mills; two of her children, Elijah James and George Jr., and all her 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Paul James Jr., Edward James, and Jerome James; her two daughters Debra K James and Barbara A James-Miller; a considered daughter by love Debra Jarzabek and her stepdaughter Melody Mills-Voyak. Annie also has many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
We would like to thank the Staff at Waters Edge Convalescent Home for their support and kindness towards our mother as they cared for her, and for the prayers from our friends and church family at Victory Christian Church in Middlefield CT. Special thanks to David Coleman for assisting with Annie when she was at Barbara’s home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10th at 11:00 am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
