Andrea Lynette Copeland-Vereen

Andrea Lynette Copeland-Vereen, 59, of New Britain, wife of Ricky Vereen, passed away on September 17, 2020. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of David Copeland and the late Delores (Smith) Copeland.

Andrea grew up in Meriden and graduated Maloney High School, Class of 1979.  She worked at CVH for over twenty-five years retiring in 2015.  She was a Girl Scout Leader where she loved working with the kids.  She also loved to fish, paint, bake and make ceramics.  Andrea was very caring and was everything to everybody and above all, she deeply loved her family.

She is also survived by her son, Richard Weaver, Jr. and daughter, Taneasha Weaver, both of New Britain; two brothers, David Copeland, Jr. and Aaron Copeland, both of Boston, MA; a sister, Donna Janey of Middletown and two grandchildren, Lilly Weaver and Dahlia Weaver; niece, Kimberly Woods-White; nephew, Calvin Vaughn, Jr. and several other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, September 30th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday in Pine Grove Cemetery, 857 South Main Street, Middletown.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrea’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
