Aline LaFountain of Higganum CT passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, at the age of 97.  Born on the family farm in 1929 to Alphonse and Elaine (LeFebevre) Theoret in Alburgh, Vermont. Aline was the oldest of 13 siblings and loved to work in the barn rather than the house. One of her first jobs was as a switchboard operator for The Bell Telephone Company in Vermont.

Aline married Gordon LaFountain and they moved to Connecticut where she became a housewife and raised 5 children. She later served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and school cafeteria worker while her children were young. She went back to work at Pratt & Whitney as a welder, retiring in 1995 after 29 years. Aline enjoyed sewing, loved flowers, yard work projects, and traveling with her family. 

She is survived by her children; Suzanne Cranford (Wayne), Jane Fisher (Albert) , Steve LaFountain, Debra McDonald (Joseph), David LaFountion (Donna), Grandchildren; Edward Alger (Susan), Stephanie Bouchard (Craig), Cristopher Biddle, Great-grandchildren; Lauren Lafferty (Joshua), Sage Bouchard, Abigail Biddle, Brothers and sisters; Lorraine LaBombard, Maurice Theoret (Margaret), Alma Patnode, Raymond Theoret (Naomi), and Louise Benjamin, Other family members; Francis Theoret, Judy Theoret, Kay Root and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Along with her parents, Aline was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Gordon LaFountain and siblings Gerald Theoret, Florence Fournier, Lawrence Theoret, Madeleine Patnode, and Michael Theoret.
