Alice (Joell) Moody

Alice Joell Moody, a resident of Middletown, transitioned to her eternal reward on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Portland Care and Rehabilitation Centre. Alice was 96 years old.  She was born to the late Winifred and Elsie (Seymore) Joell.

Alice retired from Community Action of Greater Middletown (C.A.G.M.).  She was a long-time member of Cross Street AME Zion Church where she was a member of the choir and served on several boards and organizations. Alice will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and kindness.

Alice leaves to cherish her memory, her son Bruce (Ann) of Middletown, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a special daughter Bettye Oliver and a host of nephews and nieces.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Charles, son Charles Jr. (Joy), son Lamont (Donna), 4 sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
