William Paul Schwensfeir died May 18, 2019. He was the son of Elizabeth Mary (Condron) Schwensfeir and Robert James Schwensfeir, Sr. He leaves two siblings; Robert J. Schwensfeir, Jr. of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Elizabeth Catherine (Schwensfeir) Cassella of Rocky Hill, Connecticut and her husband Jacques Cassella. He leaves four nephews; Thomas Schwensfeir of Holyoke, MA, Michael Schwensfeir of Attleboro, MA, James Sorrell of Stamford, CT and Brian Sorrell of New Zealand and a cherished niece, Mary Elizabeth Schwensfeir of Somerset, MA as well as several great nieces and great nephews. He was a graduate of Middletown, Connecticut High School. William was employed for over thirty years at the Aetna Life Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut. He finished his career as Special Project Manager on the Aetna Agent Orange Federal Investigation and Compensation Program. William was an owner and mechanic of specialty antique performance american automobiles.
William will be missed by his brother, Robert and sister, Elizabeth for his sense of humor and his willingness always to see the silver lining through every experience. William was a devoted Catholic and an usher at Saint James Church in Rocky Hill, Connecticut now Saint Josephine Bakhita Parish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 24 at 10:00 am at Saint Josephine Bakhita Parish, 767 Elm St, Rocky Hill. There will be no burial. In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s memory may be made to Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
