Mary Jane Kennedy

Mary Jane (MJ) Kennedy, 71, of Cromwell, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital.  Born in Flushing, New York, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Geraldine (Murphy) Kennedy.

Mary Jane was a proud graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing in Manhattan.  She practiced orthopedic nursing at St. Vincent Hospital and in Washington DC prior to raising a family in Pittsburgh, PA.  For the past five years, Mary Jane lived in Cromwell.

Mary Jane is survived by a son, Jonathan Bikowski and his wife, Kimberly of Moon Township, PA; three daughters, Emily Wilhelm and her husband, Mark of Franklin Park, PA, Carrie Conti and her husband, Anthony of Orlando, FL and Maggie Rittenhouse and her husband, Brett of Denver, CO; three brothers, Peter Kennedy of Glastonbury, James Kennedy of Geneva, NY and John Kennedy of Malvern, NY; three sisters, Gere Biederman of Cromwell, Gail Van Buren of Fairhaven, MA and Hope Kennedy of Malvern, NY and seven grandchildren, who were loved and adored by their beloved “Gobi”. 

Mary Jane’s wish would be to “Teach Your Children Well”.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 20 at 10:00 am at Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Pennsylvania.
