Larry McCoy Obituary

Larry Winston McCoy, 78, of Rockfall, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the West Haven VA Hospital.    Born in Solgohachia, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Aldon and Vivian (Maxwell) McCoy.

Larry was born and raised in the back country of Arkansas which instilled his always independent spirit.  He served in the United States Navy for four years.  He was very curious about how things worked which led him to a career in computers and electronics.  Larry was also a prolific storyteller who had a great love of music.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Larry is survived by a son, Andrew Aldon McCoy and his wife Christine of Wood River Junction, RI; two daughters, Julie McCoy Phelps and her husband Derek of Killingworth and Janet Vivian McCoy of Gales Ferry, CT; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Larry was predeceased by two brothers, Art McCoy (other half of the devil twins) and Bill McCoy and his sister, Betty Stell.

The McCoy family would like to say a special thank you to the West Haven VA Hospital and their staff for the great care they provided over the years.
