Josefa Alejandra (Siles) Carney, 91, of Middletown, wife of the late Salvatore Puglisi and the late Joseph Carney, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Born in Nicaragua, she was the daughter of the late Juan and Esther (Escobar) Siles.
Josefa lived in Middletown since 1980 and was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Church. She loved to travel to Europe, sewing and cooking. Most important to Josefa was her love for her family.
Josefa is survived by her daughter Norma Jacobs of Middletown and her two grandchildren, Brent Michael Jacobs and Shane Andrew Jacobs.
Along with her husbands and parents, Josefa was predeceased by her son-in-law, Raymond J. Jacobs.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9 at 10:00 am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm Street, Middletown. Burial will follow in the State Veterans’ Cemetery.
