Helen Mary (Rustek) Schulz

Helen Mary (Rustek) Schulz, 89, of Haddam and formerly of Westbrook, wife of the late Albert T. Schulz, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Chestelm Health & Rehab Center.  Born in Portland, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Brzezinska) Rustek.

Helen was a member of Saint Mary Church in Portland.  She was very open and friendly to everyone and very well loved.

Helen is survived by her son, Jay B. Schulz of Moodus; her daughter, Deborah A. Raymond of Middletown; a brother, John Rustek of Middletown; two grandchildren, Robert Raymond and Tyler R. Schulz; two great grandchildren and a special niece and caregiver, Marie McCain of Willimantic.

Along with her husband and parents, Helen was predeceased by her son, Wayne A. Schulz; two sisters, Anna Hastings and Rose Wolak and four brothers, Valentine, Stanley, Frank and Peter Rustek.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18th at 11:00am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown.  Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery in Portland.
