Gunter "Gunny" Nagele

Gunter (Gunny) Nagele, 82, passed away on October 6, 2108 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Anton and Margaret (Stech) Nagele. He proudly served with the US Army in Germany. Before moving to Middletown in March, Gunter lived in Hartford for 38 years with his companion, Waltraud Collins. Gunter was a tool & die maker for over 40 years at Textron. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Fillion and her husband Thomas, their daughter Sarah, a half-brother Peter Geiger of Germany, cousins Birgit (Osinski) and husband Stephen Leary of MA, and Donna (Stech) Francis of MI. The family is respecting Gunter’s wishes that there be no bereavement service and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: CT Humane Society 701 Russell Road Newington, CT. 06111.
