Florence Elizabeth McIntyre

Florence Elizabeth McIntyre, 101, of Cromwell, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Apple Rehab of Rocky Hill.  Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Nettie (Goff) McIntyre.

Florence lived in Cromwell/Middletown area all of her life and was a member of Saint John Church in Cromwell. Florence worked for A. N. Pierson, Inc. for thirty years as a rose inspector.

Florence is survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Along with her parents, Florence was predeceased by three sisters, Catherine McIntyre, Pauline McIntyre and Julia Briggs and her brother, Bandleader Hal McIntyre.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell.  Burial will follow in Saint John Cemetery in Middletown.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's memory may be made to Board of Education & Services for the Blind, 184 Windsor Avenue, Windsor, CT 06095.  The Cromwell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  To share memories or send condolences to the family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
