Dorothy Mae (Johnson) Ross

Dorothy Mae (Johnson) Ross, age 70, of Rockmart, GA, formally of Middletown, CT, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. She was born on November 25, 1948 in Middletown, CT, to the late Clyde and Marie (Lockhart) Johnson. Ms. Ross was a retired insurance adjuster for Aetna Insurance. Dorothy was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, cousin, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, D. Christine Johnson, brother, George Culbreath, and sisters; Roberta Lockhart and Betty Johnson.

Beloved survivors include her children; Robin Ross of East Hartford, CT, Dawn Ross- Gaunichaux of Rockmart, GA, Michael Ross of New Haven, CT, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her special cousin, Denise Overton of Dallas, GA, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Dorothy Ross will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at The First Church of Christ Congregational, 190 Court Street, Middletown. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the service begins at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
