Diane Lee (Faircloth) Stewart

Diane Lee (Faircloth) Stewart, 79, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Middlesex Hospital.  Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late George and Lucy (Arnold) Faircloth.

Diane was a member of First Church of Christ Congregational in Middletown.  She loved to dance, music, chocolate or any sweets, going out to eat and Sunday rides to the shore. Most of all, Diane loved her family and her family was her life.

Diane is survived by her son, David Stewart of Middletown; daughter Deborah Stewart of Cromwell; three grandchildren, Davina Stewart, Jamie Wood and Nicholas Wood and seven great grandchildren, Neko Wood, Natalia Wood, Nadia Vincent, Mila Vincent, Cherokee Wood, Jake Vincent and Blake Wood.

Along with her parents, Diane was predeceased by her brother, Arnold Faircloth.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3 at 11:00 am at First Congregational Church of Haddam, 905 Saybrook Road, Haddam. Burial will follow in Haddam Central Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 Eight Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
