David Augustine Obituary

David Augustine was born July 5, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  On the evening of July 9, 2019, David transitioned from life to glory.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Eve Monique Augustine, his parents, Rev Louis Augustine, Jr. and Catherine (Smith) Augustine and his beloved brothers, Miles Augustine and Rev. Michael Augustine.

David is survived by his children; Natasha and Monique Augustine, three grandchildren, Lawrence Jacques Baird, Elijah Morris Rieves and Mo Angel Augustine, and three great grandchildren, Nyree, Major and Legacy. David also leaves to cherish his memories eight siblings, Louis III (Ardieth), Guy (Lauren), Milo (Deborah), Elisha Forman (Rogers), Sedonia Augustine and Erica Traub (Emmanuel) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

David was a proud serving member of our armed forces where he served as a Sergeant in the United States Army from 1972-1982.  He also was a musician playing the drums, and trumpet in various churches within New Orleans and Connecticut as well as in the armed forces.  David was a man of courage and strength with a kind heart who loved the Lord.  We honor our brother with his unconditional love for his family.  He will be truly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 9:00 am in the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown where full military honors will be accorded.  To share memories or send condolences to the Augustine family, please visit www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
