Cyril Carter Jackson, 92, of Cromwell, husband of Jean (Doolan) Jackson for sixty-seven years, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Pilgrim Manor. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Archibald and Annie (Roberts) Jackson.
Cyril lived in Cromwell since 1983 and was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He was a member and past President of the Middletown Lions Club, life member of the Middletown Elks and a member of VFW Post 583 in Middletown. Cyril liked to golf, bowl and travel.
Along with his wife Jean, Cyril is survived by his son, Steven Jackson of Encinitas, CA; two daughters, Catherine Tomasso and her husband, Joseph of Cromwell and Susan Jackson and her partner, Tom Orr of Portland; two sisters, Phyllis Thornton of Florida and Beverly Tweedell and her husband, William of Rhode Island; three grandchildren, Paula Tomasso, Bridget Tomasso and Sharon Zingle and a great granddaughter, Jada Zingle.
Besides his parents, Cyril was predeceased by his brother, Archie Jackson.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cyril’s memory may be made to Amazing Grace Food Pantry, 16 Stack Street, Middletown, CT 06457.
