Obituary for Gail Patrice Waters

Gail Patrice Waters, 63, of Portland, passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at UConn Medical Center. Born in Ashville, NC, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Reagan) Waters of Cromwell and the late Randall N. Waters, Jr.

Gail was raised in Cromwell and lived in Portland for thirty-five years. She worked at Aetna for many years and was the owner of Puppy Love Salon in Rocky Hill. She loved animals, the beach and spending time with friends at the lake.

Along with her Mom, Gail is survived by her sister, Diane Waters Griffin and her husband, Gary, Sr. of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Greg Waters of Cromwell and Randy Waters of East Hampton; three nephews, Gary Griffin, Jr. and his wife, Janice, Sean Griffin and his wife, Karen and Kyle N. Randazzo; two grand nephews, Conor Griffin and Dillon Griffin; a grand niece, Olivia Griffin and her best friend, Judy Crooks of Cromwell.

Besides her Dad, she was predeceased by the love of her life, Charles McNiff and her cousin and dear friend, Sheila Oates.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 3 at 5:00 p.m. at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Cromwell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gail’s memory may be made to any charity helping with the care or shelter of animals.
