Obituary for Frank Ruffino, Sr.

Frank Ruffino, Sr., 91, of Rockfall, husband of the late Frances (Harris) Ruffino, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at his home. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Sebastian and Nicolena (Bonarrigo) Ruffino.

Frank lived in Rockfall most of his life and was member of the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member and worked for Laborer Union Local #611 retiring after twenty-five years.

Frank is survived by two sons, Frank Ruffino, Jr. and his wife, Cathy of West Yarmouth, MA and William C. Ruffino of Rockfall; two daughters, Lori Helmedach and her husband, Kenneth of Middlefield and Michele Priest and her husband, Jim of Middletown; a sister, Constance Siecienski of Portland; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, Frank was predeceased by his son, Louis Ruffino; three brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 30 at 10:00 am at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. Burial will follow in Middlefield Cemetery.

Family and friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory and in honor of his grandson, Jimmy may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 127 Washington Avenue, 4th Floor West, North Haven, CT 06473.
