Obituary for Francis Edward Shekosky

Francis Edward Shekosky, 86, of Middletown, husband of Natalie (Oboyski) Shekosky for sixty-one years, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Middletown, He was the son of the late Francis S. and Mafalda (Georgini) Shekosky.

Francis lived in Middletown since 1956 and employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Manfacturing for many years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Air Force.

Francis was a member of the American Legion Carlson-Sjovall Post # 105 in Cromwell.
Along with his wife, Francis is survived by his son, Francis P. Shekosky of Middletown; two daughters, Cynthia S. Peterson of East Berlin and Karen Lee of Cromwell; a brother, James Shaw of California; a sister, June Dressing of Clinton; four grandchildren, Amanda Lee, Heather Lee, Kimberly Shekosky and Kelly Shekosky and five great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Francis was predeceased by his sister, Marie Grace.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 11:00 am in Cromwell Hillside Cemetery West, 29 Hillside Road, Cromwell where full military honors will be accorded.

Family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell.
